suck on this

A prematurely grey soul singer from Alabama who was once likened to a
drunken dad at a wedding triumphed in the American Idol finale, which
drew more votes than have ever been cast for a president in a US
election
.

Taylor Hicks, 29, emerged as the winner in the finale of
the TV show on Wednesday night in which 63m votes were cast. It is the
biggest single voting night in the five-season history of the show. In
the 1984 US presidential election, 54.5 million voters backed Ronald
Reagan - the most votes obtained by a president.

That above is called erroneous logic. Sure there were more voters for American Idol than for U.S. president. But Idol voters are allowed to vote multiple times via phone whereas one can't vote more than once for president unless he/she lives in Chicago and is dead.

Nonetheless, it's still terribly sad that 60 million people care more about a televised popularity contest than exercising their constitutional right to vote.

in more uplifting news, one alcoholic beverage per day reduces the risk of heart disease in men. so, cheers....

About

I guess you could say this is the "Original Pime". I stopped blogging here regularly in May 2008 (if you don't count the B-Sides diversion - yes it gets confusing) when I joined the Tumblr revolution. Going forward bravely into 2009, this site will serve to house any large image work I produce.

Peace out.
