dictator death watch

after suffering a heart attack on Sunday, Chile's former military leader General Augusto Pinochet is serious but stable. Is he stable but serious or just seriously stable? Who knows. But Pinochet's youngest son Marco remarked that his father's fate "is in the hands of God".

I seriously doubt it. If there was a god, he/she/it would have struck down this war criminal with a righteous thunderbolt long ago. What's worse is the 91-year old still has supporters. Well, Bush voters have demonstrated that war, torture, secret detentions and authoritarian rule is still popular with some folks.

Cuban dictator Fidel Castro missed his fiesta de cumpleaƱos this weekend. Apparently he's also on his death bed--or he's already dead. Can you really trust a totalitarian regime to speak la verdad? No worries though, because his adopted son Hugo just won re-election and is on his way to completing la revoluciĆ³n.

About

I guess you could say this is the "Original Pime". I stopped blogging here regularly in May 2008 (if you don't count the B-Sides diversion - yes it gets confusing) when I joined the Tumblr revolution. Going forward bravely into 2009, this site will serve to house any large image work I produce.

Peace out.
