just a thought
So the Iraq Study Group turned out to be a fantastic public relations tool. It's allowed President Bush to pretend he cares about "change" and it buys him more time to "discuss all the options" with Defense, State, and the different branches of the military. It's charmingly naive for one to assume that the destructive bull in the china shop will radically transform himself into a sweet, loving heifer.
Throughout the political discourse of the past few weeks I've noticed little or no mention of how we got there in the first place. We've always been at war with Afghanistan Iraq - and we always will be - because war is peace.
The general public has finally woken up to the clusterfuck that is exploding daily in our 51st state - but they forgotten that it was their madness that helped get there. Until both the administration and its one-time cheerleaders (the 2002/03 pro-war crowd) admit their culpability in this mess, we're doomed to the failure of endless war.
