seasons change and so do i

For the first time this season it truly feels like fall. This morning it's 53°F. Don't laugh - this is "cold" for Southern California. For me it is cool and pleasant. I relish the opportunity to throw on jacket. I have a closet full of them, where they reside lonely and despondent for most of the year. For the dog, it is time to sleep under the covers at the foot of the bed to keep warm, instead of on the floor. My morning coffee ritual takes on a renewed importance during this seasonal change. A warm beverage eases me into the day.
