the two-headed snake comes in handy when you're in a bar fight...

Muse proves that you can't go wrong with sex, violence, robots and loud guitars in the video for Knights of Cydonia. The video is fun, but the song itself is a call to action:

Come ride with me through the veins of history
I'll show you how god falls asleep on the job
And how can we win when fools can be kings?
Don't waste your time or time will waste you

Their new album Black Holes and Revelations resembles Bends-era Radiohead mixed with a touch of glam and Pink Floyd spacey-ness. But it's angrier and darker than mid-1990s Britpop because the world is angrier and darker now.

In Take a Bow, the first track on the album, frontman Matt Bellamy delivers a righteous condemnation of an anonymous political figure (guess who) singing "you bring death and destruction to all that you touch". The song builds and builds beautifully, preparing to climax, to explode in full regalia. It's fun swirling good time as Bellamy shouts "yeah you'll burn in hell for your sins".

About

I guess you could say this is the "Original Pime". I stopped blogging here regularly in May 2008 (if you don't count the B-Sides diversion - yes it gets confusing) when I joined the Tumblr revolution. Going forward bravely into 2009, this site will serve to house any large image work I produce.

Peace out.
