just imagine if cable networks treated us to debates of this intellectual caliber instead of the dumbed-down partisan shouting matches we witness on Scarborough and Cavuto. This clip from the CBC is 38 years old, but McLuhan's discussions of information overload and abolishing nature are eerily prescient.
