don't believe the hype
spotted this week at a local big-box bookstore...
The Catholic Church's saber rattling has had the unintended consequence of helping promote a film with no redeeming cinematic value. Christians should be happy about the hype, because no one has been this interested in Jesus since he showed up on eBay on a tortilla, or was it a sandwich...
Sure everyone worries about what Jesus, God and the tooth fairy would think about this silly book-to-film empire, but what about Leonardo? The poor Renaissance man genius is rolling in his grave watching his name scrawled on trading cards, board games and holographic drink coasters.
And a word to all you devout Catholics...if this fictional adventure film irks you so greatly then it's time to reconsider the strength/fragility of your faith.
